Art Therapy - for personal growth & transformation

We all have areas in our lives that are not flowing, or working as we would like them to be. Career, relationship, family, illness, stress.
This four week course in Art Therapy will take you on a journey into yourself, discover how to access the answers to life’s challenges. Learn to access your intuition and inner wisdom, your creativity, and inner strengths.
Art Therapy is a transformational process to assist you to live a more harmonious & balanced life. No artistic skill is required for Art Therapy. Please bring a journal/note pad & pen, an A3 size art journal. The centre will provide a basic range of drawing materials, but if you have your own please bring pastels, textas or pencils.

    SEWING

    Join the WCCSA Sewing group and create your own fashionable and matching bag and hat.
    Meet new people, learn new skills and enjoy a coffee and a chat.
    All materials/ machines are provided in course costs. Activity suitable for all skill levels.

    DECORATIVE SEED BALLS

    Participants will create their own decorative Seed and Bean balls through gluing beans and seeds to polystyrene balls and turning them into beautiful accessories.
    These are great gift items or a stylish accessory to your living space. Activity suitable for all skill levels.

    INTRODUCTION TO PAINTING

    Join our new “Introduction to Painting “ class. Learn basic painting skills in a friendly environment. Participants will learn about different painting styles and different paint mediums including oil colour, water colours and acrylics. Participants will also learn about colour and colour relationships through developing their own colour Circle.

    SCULPTING WITH CLAY

    join our new sculpting with clay class. Participants will work with terracotta clay to create, birds, figures, fish, bird baths and/or bowls.
    Participants will learn the coil technique and have the opportunity to have their item fired. All materials included in cost. Suitable for all skill levels.

    Create your own eye catching beading items such as jewellery, bags and much more. Get in touch with your own creativity and learn the skills and techniques to create your own fashionable items at home. This class is for all skill levels.

    Do you love to knit and crochet or have you been wanting to learn how? Join our knitting and crochet group and learn how to create your own projects and meet new friends. This group is for all skill levels.

    INTRODUCTION TO PORTRAIT DRAWING

    This eight week program will introduce you to Por-trait drawing through exploring form, proportion and geometry of the face. Participants will learn how to draw the various features of the face and experiment with colour light and shadow techniques. Bring your own photo to work with.

    SOLID FORMS TO ABSTRACT

    Come and learn or increase your artistic skills in our Creative and Abstract Drawing Program. Experiment with colour, line and collage from solid forms to abstraction and design. Mediums used will include chalk / oil pastels, charcoal, willow stick, white acrylic paint. Suitable for all skill levels.

    FAIRY ART

    Create beautiful fairy outfit designs from all natural items found in our natural surroundings, such as leaves, feathers etc. These outfits are mounted on paper and are great framed and a perfect birthday gift.
