The Women’s Community Centre (SA) Inc in partnership with the Attorney General’s Department has delivered a program to the women in our Community that is focused on promoting and raising awareness of personal safety, home safety, safety mechanisms for women and crime prevention methods which they can use in their own lives. The aim of this project is to raise awareness for women about the varying personal safety issues that they may face in their everyday lives and giving them reasonable resources and solutions to assist them with these issues and solutions. Many women suffer from issues of domestic violence, live isolated in the community, are sole parents, disabled and/or aged. This program will better equip women in the community in protecting themselves, reducing crime in their own communities and to increase their feelings of safety and wellbeing in their own lives.
The Women’s Safety Network is a new online information network for all women in South Australia that will assist women who are looking for help, advice or just tips on how best to keep themselves and their loved ones safe. The network will also assist with community development through various noticeboards and blogs and aid in government and community organisations linking up.

The Website will be attached to the Women’s Community Centre (SA) Inc. This website will be an ongoing and dedicated project for the Women’s Community Centre, which we envisage to grow and develop further in the future.
