The Women’s Community Centre has a great tradition of Volunteerism. We are currently in the process of building our Volunteer numbers and would love for you to give us a call or come in and have a chat about what you would be interested in doing at the Centre. The Centre is a great place to build networks and skills, to meet new friends and to make a difference within the Community. So why not become a Volunteer in 2010.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our hard working and dedicated volunteers. Our volunteer team have all been busy working on a multitude of projects including, the Women’s Safety Network, Front reception duties, Administration duties, data entry, group facilitation, crèche support, events and membership support and liaison. The Centre would also like to thank all of it’s current Volunteers that have dedicated a great deal of time,energy and enthusiasm to the Centre. Thank you for your efforts and keep up the great work everyone!

We are also always in need of volunteers and contributions of ideas, energy and time, whatever you have to share, is welcomed and appreciated! Volunteer activities run by women for women at the WCC includes receptionist, grant & submission writing, action planning committees, office administration, finance, law, promotions, fundraising, artists, I.T., event coordination, workshop/course facilitators, child-carers etc.
Whatever your talent or interest to develop or give of your skills, the commitment is flexible and your contribution invaluable. The Women’s Community Centre is vital for the SA community of women as it provides creative education and social interaction. A place of transition and safety for all women, the Centre actively strives to honour choice, privacy and financial accessibility.
